Purpose of the position: 

The Industrial Water & Wastewater Treatment Technician is responsible for operating, monitoring, and maintaining industrial water and wastewater treatment systems to support production operations and ensure compliance with environmental permits and company standards.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate and monitor facilities water and wastewater equipment
  • Monitor operation of the water and wastewater treatment facilities, ensuring compliance with                                                                    facilities strict quality and uptime requirements
  • Collaborate with key internal and 3rd party stakeholders on ways to improve efficiency, quality and reliability of water and wastewater systems
  • Collect samples and perform routine laboratory analysis
  • Inspect equipment and facilities to identify maintenance needs or operational issues
  • Maintain accurate logs, reports, and records of plant operations
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local environmental regulations and permit requirements
  • Respond to alarms, equipment malfunctions, and emergency situations as needed
  • Suggest and implement improvements to maintenance processes and equipment to enhance reliability and efficiency.

 

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience working in an industrial setting
  • Experience working with pumps, motors, blowers, compressors
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Ability to read P&IDs, operating procedures, and technical manuals
  • Basic computer skills

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Industrial water or wastewater treatment experience preferred
  • Familiarity with SCADA/DCS systems
  • Mechanical, electrical, or instrumentation troubleshooting experience
  • Knowledge of environmental regulations
  • Engineering degree or technical training in industrial maintenance, environmental technology, or a related field preferred

 

Work Schedule

  • 2-3-2 pitman schedule, rotating days and nights every 2 weeks with flexibility to work, overtime, and weekends as needed to support production schedules and maintenance needs.

The range for this position is ​$23.00 hourly rate - $35.00 hourly rate.  Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
