Purpose of the Position:
This position exists to oversee and provide supervision to the facilities maintenance team, ensuring the reliability, efficiency, and safety of facility systems and equipment. The Facilities Maintenance Team Leader will utilize their facilities maintenance expertise to partner with various departments to support operational goals, ensure PM compliance, and work is being done safely. A high focus for this role is skilled craft supervision, assisting the Facility Manager with proactively addressing facilities-related challenges, and facility project coordination.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide leadership to oversee day-to-day facilities maintenance operations:

- Validate and approve team members' timecard entries.

- Manage coverage for vacations and absences to ensure uninterrupted operations.

- Collaborate with other departments to prioritize and complete maintenance tasks effectively.

- Receive and provide shift handoffs to ensure seamless communication across shifts.
- Plan and schedule maintenance activities.
- Ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental standards and regulations:

- Promote a culture of safety and enforce adherence to established procedures.

- Identify and mitigate hazards in facilities operations proactively.
- Guide and support facilities maintenance team members:

- Lead and mentor technicians and skilled trades in performing preventative, predictive, and corrective maintenance on facility systems.

- Train team members to enhance technical skills and promote operational excellence.
- Coordinate and prioritize maintenance tasks:

- Ensure proper execution of daily maintenance activities to minimize downtime and ensure operational efficiency.

- Oversee and enhance preventative maintenance programs to extend equipment life and reduce unplanned downtime.
- Support documentation and reporting requirements:

- Ensure detailed records are entered into the maintenance management system (CMMS), including repair history, task completion, and part usage.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders:

- Work with engineers, contractors, and vendors to plan and execute repairs, upgrades, and installations.

- Communicate effectively with department heads and other teams to align maintenance activities with operational needs.
Education & Experience
- High School Diploma or GED (minimum requirement), degree preferred.
- Certifications recommended:
-
- OSHA certifications
-
- HVAC, or Electrical License
- 5+ years of proven experience in a facility related roles.
- 3+ years of supervisory or management experience in maintenance or facility operations.
- Strong understanding and experience with building systems such as plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and general building repair.
- Proven experience working with outside vendors, contractors, and service providers for repairs, upgrades, or maintenance projects.
- Practical knowledge of preventative maintenance programs.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in FM software (CMMS) and solid skills using Microsoft Office Suite applications.
- Familiarity with predictive and preventive maintenance techniques, including vibration analysis, thermography, and lubrication management.
- Problem-solving skills, with the ability to implement effective solutions.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with staff, vendors, and senior management.
- Ability to handle emergencies and unexpected repairs calmly and efficiently.
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Ability to lift heavy objects, climb ladders, and perform physical tasks as needed.
Typical Work Hours
- Standard M-F work schedule with flexibility required to support weekend, evening, holiday operations, overtime, 2/3/2 shift emergency back up, and emergency response needs as needed.

The range for this position is $79,166.00 - $108,854.00 assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
