Role Purpose
The Manutacturing Engineering Team Section Supervisor provides leadership and direction to the Manufacturing Engineering Team (MET), overseeing Team Leaders and Technicians responsible for equipment reliability, production support, process performance, and continuous improvement within the manufacturing operation. This role drives operational excellence by developing technical talent, improving equipment uptime, strengthening process capability, and leading structured problem-solving efforts that enhance safety, quality, delivery, and cost performance.
The MET Section Supervisor partners closely with Operations, Engineering, Quality, Maintenance, and Development teams to implement new technologies, optimize manufacturing processes, and deliver sustainable improvements that increase capacity, reduce costs, and improve product quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop MET Team Leaders and Manufacturing Engineering Technicians to support safe, reliable, and efficient manufacturing operations.
- Execute plant objectives by driving performance in safety, quality, delivery, cost, equipment reliability, and process capability.
- Set team priorities and allocate resources to support production schedules, equipment uptime, maintenance activities, process improvements, and new technology implementation.
- Lead the identification, troubleshooting, and resolution of equipment and process issues using structured problem-solving, root cause analysis, and data-driven decision making.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives that improve manufacturing performance, reduce cost, increase capacity, and enhance product quality.
- Support the transition from reactive to proactive maintenance and manufacturing support strategies that improve equipment reliability and operational efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with process controls, operating procedures, document management requirements, and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities - continued
- Lead the integration of new technologies, engineering solutions, and process improvements into manufacturing operations through effective change management and process discipline.
- Monitor, communicate, and drive performance metrics while ensuring production and operational objectives are achieved.
- Develop team capability through coaching, performance management, training, certification programs, and succession planning.
- Build strong partnerships with Operations, Engineering, Maintenance, Quality, Development, and other support organizations to achieve business and technical objectives.
- Foster a culture of accountability, safety, technical excellence, and continuous improvement.
- Lead and support projects using defined plans and timelines while protecting product quality, intellectual property, and business objectives.
- Communicate technical priorities, project status, and operational performance to leadership and cross-functional stakeholders.
Work Hours
- Standard hours are generally Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
- Flexible hours may be required to support off-shift, weekend, or holiday manufacturing needs.
Education & Experience
- BS (or equivalent) in Engineering preferred.
- Prior leadership experience in functional or project roles(s)
- 5+ years of manufacturing and/or engineering experience

- Lean manufacturing knowledge and experience driving operational improvements.
- Experience in equipment reliability, process engineering, manufacturing support, or maintenance strategy development.
- Knowledge of statistical process control and manufacturing process capability improvement.
- Experience translating technical strategy into daily execution within production.

The range for this position is $106,400.00 - $146,300.00 assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
