Role Purpose
Key Responsibilities
- Lead shift control room operations to support plant utilities and process systems.
- Provide clear direction and focus for all control room employees on shift.
- Manage resources—people, materials, and equipment—to optimize equipment uptime, utility reliability, throughput, and maintenance execution.
- Ensure preventative, reactive, and predictive maintenance activities are completed safely and on schedule.
- Promote a safe, efficient, and process-driven control room culture grounded in continuous improvement.
- Track and validate control room reporting to align with utilities uptime goals.
- Develop staffing plans, training programs, and control room protocols to strengthen team capability.
- Build strong relationships with maintenance leaders, production teams, internal stakeholders, and skilled trades.
- Conduct performance reviews, provide coaching, and recognize achievements.
- Oversee onboarding and training for hourly control room workforce.
- Provide positive backfill and shift coverage for peer maintenance team leaders as needed.
Work Hours
- Standard Monday–Friday schedule, with flexibility to work a 12-hour 2-3-2 Pitman schedule for 24/7 coverage when required.
- Ability to adjust hours to support weekend and evening operations as needed.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related technical field and 2+ years of manufacturing maintenance experience preferred.
- In lieu of a degree, 5+ years of direct supervision of control room employees in a critical environment.

- Proven ability to coach, mentor, and lead skilled employees with clarity and accountability.
- Experience coordinating activities across multiple departments and functions.
- High ethical standards, integrity, and positive leadership approach.
- Strong process control discipline and continuous improvement mindset.
- Customer-focused approach with a commitment to reliability and safety.
- Ability to communicate with all levels of the plant organization
Desired Skills
- Experience with production ramp-up and team building.
- Familiarity with SAP and CMMS software.
- Knowledge of control room protocols and best practices.

The range for this position is $79,166.00 - $108,854.00 assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
