Role Purpose:
The Process Controls/BAS Specialist supports plant maintenance by troubleshooting and optimizing control systems, including PLC, SCADA, and DCS. This role ensures the reliable operation of building automation systems (BAS), oversees system monitoring, and trains personnel on best practices for system performance and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:

Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain process and building control systems.

Supervise daily operations of process control systems, including chilled water plants, wastewater treatment, and chemical distribution.

Provide expert technical support and training for engineers, technicians, and trades personnel.

Collaborate with engineering teams to optimize automation strategies.

Maintain documentation and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
Experiences/Education – Required:
-
Degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, or related field OR Journeyman license with 10+ years’ experience in process controls.

Expertise in PLC, SCADA, and DCS troubleshooting in an industrial setting.

Hands-on experience using hand tools, meters, and calibration devices for system diagnostics.

Strong understanding of building automation systems (BAS) and process controls.

Ability to lead training and mentorship programs for technical personnel.
Experiences/Education – Desired:
-
Certifications in process controls or BAS.
-
Experience working with industrial HVAC, pumps, furnaces, and fluid transfer equipment.

Background in process optimization and automation strategies.

Familiarity with industrial safety regulations and compliance standards.

Proficiency in project planning and execution within plant maintenance.

The range for this position is $87,309.00 - $120,050.00 assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position are dependent on hours worked and may include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, pension plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, and PTO.
