Our Solar business delivers industry leading, U.S.-made solar components. We manufacture hyper-pure polysilicon, high-quality solar wafers, and innovative photovoltaic modules, leveraging our leadership in advanced manufacturing to serve growing energy demand. You will be a part of advancing critical U.S. supply chains and delivering unmatched quality and reliability to customers.
Role Purpose
The Quality Engineering Leader will be responsible for overseeing and managing the quality assurance and control processes within the solar manufacturing facility. This role requires a strong background in engineering principles, quality management systems, and a deep understanding of solar manufacturing processes. The individual will lead a team of quality engineers and technicians to ensure compliance with industry standards, customer requirements, and regulatory guidelines while driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and manufacturing efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Establish and enforce quality assurance procedures and guidelines throughout the manufacturing process.
- Analyze test data and quality metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Utilize statistical analysis tools and techniques to monitor process parameters and identify deviations.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement solutions to enhance product performance and reliability.
- Develop, implement, and maintain a robust quality management system in accordance with ISO and other relevant standards.
- Conduct regular audits to assess compliance with quality standards and identify areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, production, and supply chain to optimize manufacturing processes for efficiency and quality.
- Establish criteria for supplier selection and evaluation to ensure the delivery of high-quality raw materials and components.
Key Responsibilities (continued)
- Conduct supplier audits and assessments to verify compliance with quality requirements and drive corrective actions as necessary.
- Work closely with suppliers to address quality issues and implement preventive measures.
- Develop and implement inspection and testing protocols to verify product quality and reliability.
- Coordinate with testing laboratories and third-party certification bodies to validate product performance and compliance with industry standards.
- Provide leadership and guidance to the quality engineering team, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous learning.
- Set clear performance objectives and provide regular feedback to team members to drive professional growth and development.
- Facilitate training programs to enhance the technical skills and knowledge of the quality team.
Work Hours
- Standard Hours (Monday – Friday, 8am-5pm)
- Managing a 24/7 plant structure, so occasional support when needed.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering (electrical, mechanical, or a related field)
- 2+ years of working experience in quality engineering
Required Skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across functional teams.
- Strong understanding of quality management principles, tools, and methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, Shainin Red X).
- Problem-solving mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and operational excellence.
Desired Skills
- Proficiency in statistical analysis software (e.g., Minitab, JMP) and quality management software systems.
- Familiarity with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and other relevant quality standards.
- Leadership experience with a track record of successfully managing multiple projects.
Soft Skills
- Able to communicate equally well with various levels of the organization (engineers, production associates, and managers).

The range for this position is $112,328.00 - $154,451.00 assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
