You will be a part of advancing critical U.S. supply chains and delivering unmatched quality and reliability to customers. 

 

Scope of Position

The Sr. Manager, Logistics, Solar develops and executes global logistics strategies for the Solar business, providing leadership across freight, warehousing, distribution, trade compliance, duty and tariff management, and third-party logistics operations to improve quality, cost, delivery, and service performance.

 

This leader partners with cross-functional teams and Logistics Centers of Excellence to optimize operations, support growth, and drive supply chain performance across a global, matrixed organization.

 

Key Responsibilities

Logistics Strategy & Network Design

  • Develop and execute global logistics strategies aligned with business objectives and growth needs.
  • Partner with division leadership to optimize the global logistics network.
  • Define long-term network strategies to support future business requirements.
  • Lead warehousing and distribution planning based on demand forecasts.
  • Support landed cost modeling to improve supply chain decisions.

Operations & Supply Chain Execution

  • Provide leadership to plant logistics teams and third-party providers.
  • Establish governance and audit logistics procedures with the Logistics Center of Excellence.
  • Ensure safe, compliant, and effective logistics execution.
  • Maintain service reliability, inventory flow, and customer satisfaction.

Commercial & Cost Leadership

  • Manage third-party provider relationships, contracts, and performance.
  • Own logistics budgets, spend management, and reporting.
  • Lead cost reduction and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Drive ROI-based cost optimization programs.

Technology, Analytics & Continuous Improvement

  • Lead logistics digital transformation, including visibility, scheduling, analytics, and automation.
  • Support enterprise initiatives that drive standardization and operational excellence.
  • Enhance logistics capabilities through systems, data, and digital tools.

Talent & Capability Development

  • Build and develop a high-performing logistics organization.
  • Support talent acquisition, succession planning, and capability development.
  • Ensure effective development plans for logistics team members.
  • Champion employee engagement and retention.

 

Required Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, Operations, or a related field.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in global logistics, including freight, warehousing, and/or trade compliance operations.
  • Experience managing and optimizing third-party logistics providers and logistics networks.
  • Experience scaling logistics operations to support business growth.
  • Experience with ERP, TMS, and WMS systems.
  • Strong financial management and spend control experience.
  • Proven leadership and matrix-management capabilities.
  • Experience working within a global organization and collaborating across regions.
  • Willingness to travel up to 20% domestically and internationally.

 

Preferred Experience

  • Master's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience within high-volume manufacturing environments.
  • Experience leading complex cross-functional projects focused on cost, performance, innovation, or digital transformation.
  • Experience working with teams, suppliers, or customers located in Asia.
  • Professional certifications such as APICS, Six Sigma, or Lean.

The range for this position is $136,157.00 - $187,216.00 assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
