Our Optical Communications segment has recently evolved from being a manufacturer of optical fiber and cable, hardware and equipment to being a comprehensive provider of industry-leading optical solutions across the broader communications industry.This segment is classified into two main product groupings – carrier network and enterprise network. The carrier network product group consists primarily of products and solutions for optical-based communications infrastructure for services such as video, data and voice communications. The enterprise network product group consists primarily of optical-based communication networks sold to businesses, governments and individuals for their own use.
Role Purpose:
We're seeking an Office Coordinator to manage daily operations and provide administrative support to the COC Technology Director of Operations at our Hickory Manufacturing and Technology Center. The ideal candidate will create a professional and energizing work environment through efficient, proactive, and quality management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate workspace needs, office visits, and large events.
- Oversee common spaces and manage office supplies.
- Support on-boarding of new employees and interns.
- Facilitate communication on the Tech floor.
- Provide administrative support to the Director of Technology Operations.
Required Qualifications:
- AAS degree in Business or equivalent work experience.
- More than 3 years of Project Coordination or administrative experience with strong computer skills.
- Proficiency in office software and SharePoint.
- Ability to proactively lead, anticipate needs, and influence outcomes.
- Maintain professionalism and quality of work under varying schedules, priorities, and tight deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail and conscientiousness.
- Ability to listen, make decisions, and act with minimal supervision.
- Experience handling confidential information and using sound judgment.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, including tact, patience, flexibility, and courtesy.
- Ability to establish, grow, and maintain positive working relationships with both internal and external customers.

The range for this position is $60,570.00 - $83,285.00 assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position are dependent on hours worked and may include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, pension plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, and PTO.
