Our Optical Communications segment has recently evolved from being a manufacturer of optical fiber and cable, hardware and equipment to being a comprehensive provider of industry-leading optical solutions across the broader communications industry.This segment is classified into two main product groupings – carrier network and enterprise network. The carrier network product group consists primarily of products and solutions for optical-based communications infrastructure for services such as video, data and voice communications. The enterprise network product group consists primarily of optical-based communication networks sold to businesses, governments and individuals for their own use.

Role Purpose

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced North America (NA) Regional Demand Planner to drive the implementation and execution of supply chain and manufacturing operating plans across a diverse portfolio of products. This role is pivotal in ensuring seamless coordination between capacity planning, inventory strategy, and end-to-end supply chain operations—from order acknowledgement through shipment.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Support NA regional production planning/master scheduling activities, including order management, dating, resource planning, delivery promising, and production forecasting and reporting of actual manufacturing results vs. plan.
  • Coordinating plans and executing across NA regional cable plants
  • Generate and maintain monthly capacity plans and weekly supply plans for manufacturing and supply chain operations.
  • Optimize NA region finished goods, WIP, OOF, and fiber inventory.
  • Support new-system implementation projects and initiatives within supply chain.
  • Work closely with plant supply chain and operations to establish short- term and long-term expectations and execution of the production plan.

 

Education/Experience Required:

 

  • Minimum 2 years in Supply Chain or relevant experience
  • Bachelor’s degree required or considerable experience
  • Ability to collaborate within a cross-functional team and to achieve long term goals
  • Computer Literate in MS Office, especially Excel

 

Desired Skills:

 

  • Degree in Supply Chain, Business, or Industrial Engineering
  • Fiber and cable product knowledge
  • Understand aspects of inventory management
  • Strong SAP/ERP/MES knowledge and experience
  • Direct manufacturing experience
  • APICS/ASCM Certification

The range for this position is $71,930.00 - $98,904.00 assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
