The global Information Technology (IT) Function is leading efforts to align IT and Business Strategy, leverage IT investments, and optimize end to end business processes and associated information integration technologies.  Through these efforts, IT helps to improve the competitive position of Corning's businesses through IT enabled processes.  IT also delivers Information Technology applications, infrastructure, and project services in a cost efficient manner to Corning worldwide.

The Product Owner for Commercial IT, is an important role, as it requires both strategic and tactical responsibilities. This role will drive and maximize our investments in key commercial technologies to offer our customers every competitive advantage to meet their objectives. Taking insight from industry, market and competitors, this position will develop and maintain the full lifecycle of the product, including a 2-4 year strategic roadmap. Product Manager will interact with project teams, vendors, architects, and service delivery owners to ensure optimal solutions. This requires a deep understanding of the product capabilities, the customers business objectives and business value delivered. Responsibilities

• Own a strategic roadmap of enterprise level commercial application/product solutions

• Prioritize enhancements requests and features into releases, managing internal and external stakeholders

• Regularly engage with solution architects, service owners and clients to understand and deliver business opportunities

• Translate client’s requirements into product features ensuring wide market fit

• Work with our excellent commercial IT team to deliver the optimal solution

• Conduct competitive intelligence research and analysis

• Explore new commercial solutions and ideation of new business opportunities

• Participate in cross-organizational strategic initiatives

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in IT or a related field.

Experience:

5+ years with SAP Hybris, 10+ years relevant experience

Qualifications:

• Exceptional interpersonal, teamwork and facilitation skills

• Self-motivated, driven, excellent planning skills

• Working knowledge of all the IT function

• Ability to understand the long-term and short-term perspectives of situations

• Ability to anticipate and translate future-state business needs into a capability road map

• Ability to prioritize and provide direction to technical teams

• Ability to quickly comprehend the functions and capabilities of the product
