Our Optical Communications segment has recently evolved from being a manufacturer of optical fiber and cable, hardware and equipment to being a comprehensive provider of industry-leading optical solutions across the broader communications industry.This segment is classified into two main product groupings – carrier network and enterprise network. The carrier network product group consists primarily of products and solutions for optical-based communications infrastructure for services such as video, data and voice communications. The enterprise network product group consists primarily of optical-based communication networks sold to businesses, governments and individuals for their own use.

 

Role Purpose

 

The Supply Chain Systems Analyst focuses on identifying and implementing projects to support OFC Supply Chain initiatives including supply chain digitization.  This position will map key processes, and identify, implement, and standardized improvements within OFC’s Global Supply Chain.  KPI reporting, project management, and cross functional team leadership are in scope for this role.  This role also requires partnering with OFC & OCS Operations, Finance, and Supply Chains groups to identify future opportunities for improvements.

 

Responsbilities:

 

  • Review, map, and analyze the SAP supply chain and manufacturing processes. Keep Process maps up to date. 
  • Drive for global process standardization wherever possible. 
  • Seek out SAP best practices and drive adoption within the plant and throughout the global organization.
  • Collaborate with and build positive and productive relationships with OFC and OCS program leaders, business leaders, customers, suppliers, and other functions to create and implement new supply chain capabilities.
  • Balance demands between an immediate fix and a sustainable long-term process.
  • Support Data analytic efforts for OFC to help create a single data source to drive OFC Supply Chain reports and metrics. 
  • Develop Supply Chain reports and tools to support driving improvement in OFC supply chain initiatives – including educating end-users to drive adoption.
  • Provide advanced reporting/analytics solutions to increase visibility using real time data to drive decision making to support supply chain initiatives.
  • Develop end-to-end tools to improve forecast, demand planning, sourcing and order entry and commit processes between OCS, Cables Manufacturing, Fiber, and suppliers.
  • Manage data governance associated with technical supply chain tools/programs – FIS, FIOS, & SAP.

 

Required Education/Skills: 

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Minimum of 4 years of manufacturing and/or Supply Chain planning experience
  • Strong knowledge of Supply Chain concepts and processes (supply, demand, capacity, planning and inventory management)
  • Working knowledge of ERP systems (SAP ECC and APO)
  • Working knowledge of MES systems (prefer Camstar)

 

Desired Skills:

 

    • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Operations Management, or similar discipline
    • Experience working cross functionally within areas of Commercial, Product Development, Finance and Operations influencing both up and across the organization
    • Experience communicating and presenting across all levels of the organization
    • Experience in conflict management; seeks win-win solutions
    • Experience resolving problems with ability to identify patterns in data to drive improvements
    • Experience working with different cultures and a willingness to learn and experience new cultures
    • Advanced Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and PowerBI skills
    • APICS certification (CPIM/CSCP)

The range for this position is $88,381.00 - $121,524.00 assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position are dependent on hours worked and may include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, pension plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, and PTO.
