Our Optical Communications segment has recently evolved from being a manufacturer of optical fiber and cable, hardware and equipment to being a comprehensive provider of industry-leading optical solutions across the broader communications industry.This segment is classified into two main product groupings – carrier network and enterprise network. The carrier network product group consists primarily of products and solutions for optical-based communications infrastructure for services such as video, data and voice communications. The enterprise network product group consists primarily of optical-based communication networks sold to businesses, governments and individuals for their own use.

 

Role and Responsibilities

 

This position is within Corning’s Optical Connectivity Solutions Technology organization and leads the Technology Operations team and processes.  This includes owning the systems and processes supporting the innovation project management processes, financial tracking, data management, analytics, and reporting.

 

  • Drive continuous improvement of innovation project management processes, systems, and tools, and reporting
  • Lead development of AI agents and automated tools to improve project management efficiency
  • Maintain organizational KPIs and Technology metrics scorecards
  • Lead technical award processes for global technology organization
  • Manage and track the OCS Technology non-project capital portfolio, including planning, reporting, and alignment to business needs
  • Support data collection, storage, analysis, and visualization across Technology
  • Recommend and implement process and policy improvements impacting the broader organization
  • Direct management of team of data analysts

 

Required Education and Experience

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, or related field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in technology, engineering, data analytics, or related areas
  • Experience in business process improvement and change management
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)

 

Desired Skills

 

  • Experience in project management (planning, execution, delivery)
  • Experience analyzing budgets, capital, spending, and financial tracking systems
  • Experience building or deploying AI agents, automation tools, or workflow solutions for business or project management use
  • Experience with data management, structures, and governance
  • Experience with BI and reporting tools (Power BI, SQL, Databricks)
  • Strong report design and visualization skills
  • Experience with SharePoint (OOTB and advanced capabilities)
  • Knowledge of Fiber Optic Telecom products, processes, and markets

The range for this position is $128,690.00 - $176,950.00 assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
