JV Details:

Corning Inc (www.corning.com)  the world’s largest maker of smartphone cover glass, will begin manufacturing the product in India by the end of 2024 through its joint venture with Noida-based contract manufacturer Optiemus Infracom  Ltd (https://www.optiemus.com/) , which will be called Bharat Innovation Glass Technologies. 

The JV company will manufacture finished front and back cover glass for smartphones and the plant is likely to come up in Tamil Nadu. 

The Indian facility will meet the demand for the domestic consumers first and then expand its operations overseas.

Key Responsibilities:

• Performs technical duties and activities within prescribed time frames.
• Participates in projects to improve overall process and technical efficiency.
• Trains new personnel to standard operating procedures.
• Maintains and ensures confidentiality of information / materials.
• Takes initiative to identify and propose remedies to problems.
• Gives periodic status reports in written and verbal formats.
• Interacts with others at same level, and one level above, to ensure continuity and efficiency.
• Responsible for IT technical support at plant/location
• Will interact with all plant customers (business/manufacturing systems users)
• Will learn all IT systems (plant/division/corporate systems)
• Potential movement to higher level roles within plant.

Required Experience:

• 3 – 5 years of related IT experience
• Experience in plant environment.
• Experience working as a resource on projects.
• Plant build and/or Greenfield experience
• Prior work environment where problem solving abilities were critical for success.
• Ability work independently
