Position Description

Purpose of the Position:
Take lead of planning team to plans and schedules purchased and production requirements while balancing manufacturing capacity against forecasted demand. Optimizes customer service, inventory levels, and labor utilization for the plant.

Day to Day Responsibilities: 

Review the production plan impact of forecast and communicates necessary information concerning manufacturing capacity, inventory levels, or potential customer service issues.
Drive the master production schedule from forecasted orders for all manufactured products for distribution and use throughout the plant
Determine all purchased raw material to ensure these items are purchased in time and meet demand.
Revise the plant's capacity utilization plan as needed based on forecasted demand
Participate production daily meeting, to ensure focus on key issued that will affect customer service or schedule compliance by prioritize manufacturing issue, and planning will be adjusted accordingly
Support engineer to schedule and deploy NPI or engineering changes into production environment.
Compiles and report various business information ,Compare to the information budgeted and forecasted level
Monitoring inventory levels including slow-moving and non-moving items and makes recommendations on adjustments as appropriate.
Take a customer service role for inter-company sales order. 

Provide customer service with a product available report when products come into stock and available for shipment.
Team work building and motivate team to achieve KPI target.
Deploy Corning’s talent management programs within the team to effectively attract, develop, and maintain manufacturing talent, ensures that employees have training and development plans.
Other tasks assigned by direct manager.

Project involved with:

New mold and product development based on business requirements and evaluate capacity impact. 
Continuously improve the product performance on safety, efficiency, reliability and operating cost. 
Required supports to any projects lead by other function team such as Engineering, quality, production or IT

Requirements: Education & Experience 

Bachelor Degree or above of Manufacturing Engineering / Mechanical Engineering
At least 10 years relevant experience at plant planning and supply chain management 

Requirements: Required Skills
Skill in ERP, SAP and People soft system 
Skill in Excel and data statistical analysis 
Familiar with Power BI and Python 

Requirements: Desired Skills  
Production management skills.
With good understanding on injection molding production.
Good listening skills for fully understanding customers’ requirements.
Well know ERP system regarding to production and material planning parts.
Good at logistic and material planning.
Prefer to have functional understanding of PeopleSoft and/or SAP systems.
Good communication skill to interact effectively with colleagues and other supporting function.
Sense of urgency and creativity to handle production issues and adapt plan to meet objectives.
