Controls Engineer (f/m)

Responsibilities: 

  • Manage the controls portion of capital projects
  • Responsible for all controls related activity to design, build, install and startup the equipment in your area
  • Provide extended manufacturing support to address issues after installation
  • Review proposals to RFQ’s as needed; Participate in vendor selection processes
  • Main interface with plant and IT lead
  • Provide service data and electrical requirements to the facilities team
  • Ensure deliverables such as spare parts, documentation, acceptance criteria sign-offs, training are complete
  • Coordinate Installation with Facilities team. Onsite presence for install depends on specific area complexity and supplier capability
  • Plan, organize and execute work-streams on projects to deliver improvement and step change capabilities
  • Participate and implement hardware and software for the control´s systems
  • Create and take responsibility for technical report writing and presentations within the area of responsibility
  • Provide support for projects (worldwide and in our division)

 

Requirements: 

  • University degree in computer and/or electrical engineering, Automation / Robotics engineering or comparable fields
  • First work experience in the manufacturing industry (preferably in the field of Controls)
  • Experience in the design and programming of Allen Bradley Controllogix and Siemens)
  • Knowledge of other automation equipment
  • Fundamental understanding of electrical design practices, able to create or review and approve electrical prints from an integrator
  • Robot Programming experience especially ABB, Knowledge of Electrical Standards 
  • Fluent in English, very good German Skills
  • Distinct analytical thinking and the ability to work conceptually
  • Sense of responsibility, reliability and autonomous working
  • Flexibility and Willingness to travel internationally (15-40%)
