Location:

Any Corning Incorporated location, with a preference for our Corning, NY location or one of our Aerospace and Defense (A&D) locations (Keene, NH; Phoenix, AZ; or Canton, NY)

 

Purpose:

As the Account Manager for one of our largest accounts, you will serve as the primary point of contact, responsible for meticulously managing the customer account. Your comprehensive approach will ensure the success and growth of our partnership with the customer.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the account, as the primary point of contact.
  • Collaborate with customer service and legal teams to negotiate and finalize contracts.
  • Work with product line managers and the controllers to set pricing strategies focused on maximizing margins.
  • Identify and pursue investment opportunities to capture additional business.
  • Coordinate schedules with plant operations teams and provide progress reports to the customer.
  • Support customer communication for new programs in collaboration with program managers.
  • Assist in defining up-scope requirements for new programs to be quoted.
  • Collaborate with quoting teams and cost accountants to establish accurate cost structures and pricing strategies.
  • Update forecasts for the customer in collaboration with customer service.

 

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree – Science & Engineering (preferred)
  • Minimum of 5 years work experience: product line management, commercial (sales), or engineering in an engineering based and customer-focused environment. 
  • Demonstrated track record of commercial and sales success
  • Commercial Account Manager Experience
  • Security Clearance or ability to obtain a clearance

 

Desired Skills: 

  • Experience in and with aerospace and defense industry or products, including contacts within the defense industry.
  • Engineering Degree or equivalent demonstrated experience (i.e., extensive experience in business) is a strong plus.
  • Work experience in sales, manufacturing, or development.
  • Financial analysis and accounting experience.

 

Travel: Up to 50%

The range for this position is  $105,532.00   -  $145,107.00 assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position are dependent on hours worked and may include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, pension plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, and PTO.
