The purpose of this position: Provide inspection support for quality, manufacturing, and engineering.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Program and set up CMMs to perform dimensional measurements and inspections according to engineering drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
  • Operate CMM equipment to collect measurement data and perform inspections on workpieces.
  • Perform routine maintenance and calibration of CMM equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability. 
  • Analyze measurement data and inspection results to determine the conformance of parts and identify any non-conformities.
  • Generate inspection reports and documentation to record measurement results and communicate findings to relevant stakeholders. 
  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to address quality-related issues and suggest process improvements. 
  • Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area.

Education/Experience

  • High School Diploma or GED. 
  • One to three years in optical mechanical inspection with Coordinate Measuring Machine experience desired.
  • Experience in handling precision components.
  • Basic blueprint reading and comprehension. 
  • Computer fluency to include Windows 10 and newer.
  • Standard drawing practices, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) is
    desired.

Working Conditions:

  • Exposure to alcohol and acetone used for cleaning.
  • Occasional lifting of up to 35 lbs.

The range for this position is $21.00 hourly rate - $25.50 hourly rate. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
