Role Purpose
Performs a variety of technical duties and activities including experimental procedures, collection of data from manufacturing process, data analysis and graphical analysis. Will be involved with design engineering to assess manufacturability of new production and project parts. Will be involved as support or lead for programming of new parts on manufacturing equipment. May be involved with measurement labs and/or customer data to help engineers resolve customer complaints or improve manufacturing yields. May lead and direct P&M trades and/or contract trades personnel in equipment installation, repairs, or upgrades.
Key Responsibilities
- Understands equipment used in key manufacturing process(es) and interprets data from process(es) to solve problems
- Work with design engineers to review technical drawings for manufacturability and provide guidance as needed
- Create methods of manufacturing and jobs to manufacture parts based on knowledge of equipment in key manufacturing processes
- Works with teams focused on product innovation, cost reduction projects, etc.
- Proactively guides front-line production workforce and technical teams to comply with safety, health, equipment standard operating procedures, and environmental regulations
Experiences/Education - Required
- Associate Degree in technical field or strong Math/Science background and experiences preferred
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Reads blueprints and/or drawings
- 3+ years’ experience in machine shop as a programmer or engineering technician
- Other technician and/or operator roles that lead to a better understanding of the equipment and processes
Experiences/Education - Desired
- 5-7 years’ experience in machine shop as programmer or engineering technician
- Part design work – drawings and models
- B.S. in technical field
- Project Management skills
- Lean Fundamentals
- Six Sigma Yellow Belt
- PEx tools
- Has had several leadership opportunities

The range for this position is $67,565.00 - $92,902.00 assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
