Our Optical Communications segment has recently evolved from being a manufacturer of optical fiber and cable, hardware and equipment to being a comprehensive provider of industry-leading optical solutions across the broader communications industry.This segment is classified into two main product groupings – carrier network and enterprise network. The carrier network product group consists primarily of products and solutions for optical-based communications infrastructure for services such as video, data and voice communications. The enterprise network product group consists primarily of optical-based communication networks sold to businesses, governments and individuals for their own use.

Role Purpose

The Change Management Engineer executes and documents product and document changes within Windchill in alignment with organizational protocols, quality requirements, compliance requirements, and customer expectations. This role supports effective change control execution across the product lifecycle and helps drive consistency in global document control practices and standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute product and document changes in Windchill in accordance with approved procedures and workflows
  • Ensure change records are accurate, complete, traceable, and properly documented
  • Support compliance, quality, and timeliness of change control activities
  • Support global document control governance through maintenance of standards, procedures, and templates
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to coordinate change implementation and resolve process issues
  • Support audits and inspections through accurate and accessible documentation
  • Identify process gaps and support continuous improvement actions
  • Provide user guidance on change management and document control requirements
  • Act as SME on change management and provide training on established procedures
  • Track metrics related to change control and document governance performance

Required Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related technical field
  • 5–7 years of experience in quality assurance, quality engineering, or a related field
  • Experience with PLM systems, preferably Windchill
  • Experience in change control, document control, quality systems, or regulated processes
  • Strong attention to detail, process discipline, and cross-functional collaboration
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong command of the English language (verbal, written, and comprehension)

Desired Experiences

  • Experience in a regulated industry or manufacturing environment
  • Experience supporting global or multi-site document control processes
  • Familiarity with audit readiness and compliance requirements
  • Experience using metrics to identify process improvements

The range for this position is $91,649.00 - $126,018.00 assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
