The Global Supply Management (GSM) Function is recognized as a critical function for business success.  It delivers the training, tools and opportunities needed to create innovative solutions for the function & the corporation.  GSM has leading edge, effective processes to anticipate and exceed customer requirements.

Role Purpose

Responsible for executing short-term procurement plans to support plant-level sourcing of quality products, equipment, and services. This role ensures continuity of supply and supplier performance by implementing immediate sourcing actions and resolving operational issues. Emphasis is placed on identifying and mitigating supply disruptions, securing timely delivery, and achieving measurable cost savings and quality improvements within the current planning cycle (typically 0–18 months). 

Key Responsibilities

Manage sourcing requests and execute sourcing events to support procurement objectives

Executing Procurement strategies and supporting decisions necessary to purchase products or services, aligned with organizational objectives and sourcing strategies

Assists with Business Procurement strategy development

Champions and ensures compliance with the Global Buying Policy along with utilization of standard Procurement processes and tools

Supervises/manages Procurement Coordinators

Assures Contributions Metrics are updated and linked with the site/business cost reduction portfolio

Key player for negotiations with site specific suppliers

Prepares and solicits competitive bids/quotations/proposals, scope of work, etc. with pertinent specifications, terms, and conditions

Manage supplier and consultant relationships to ensure quality, delivery assurance, and cost competitiveness. Serve as a point of escalation for critical supplier relationships

Assists with Supplier Relationship Management Process

May create and maintain contractual documents

Assists with Commodity Reviews and Supply Intelligence

Participates as an active member of cross-functional teams focused on process improvements, cost reduction, and supply chain optimization projects

Protects Intellectual Property and proprietary information

Ensure compliance with internal and external auditing requirements related to Procurement or any other certification

Ensures environmental compliance of suppliers

Experiences/Education - Required

  • Bachelor's of Arts/Science
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in manufacturing – operations, planning, engineering, supply management, or procurement
  • Demonstrated decision making, influencing, negotiation, and conflict management/problem solving skills and ability to drive results through others (inside the function and outside the function)
  • Experience with global manufacturing and business through work or project experience
  • Strong analytical abilities with attention to detail

Experiences/Education - Desired

  • Bachelor's Supply Chain Management, or related field.   
  • Contracting (negotiation, writing, and management) 
  • Price/Cost or Should Cost analysis 
  • Commodity/Supply Chain expertise 
  • Experience across multiple businesses, division and/or technologies 
  • Institute for Supply Management (ISM) or APICs certifications 
  • CPSM, C.P.M., A.P.P., CPIM, CSCP, etc.   
  • Green Belt Certification and/or Project management experience

The range for this position is $82,710.00 - $113,727.00 assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
