Quality Control Laboratory Technician Responsibilities for the position include routine quality control testing of Corning Life Sciences products. These tests are established to ensure that the products meet the minimum quality requirements prior to release for customer use.

  • Provide backup for another technician in the lab.
  • Perform quality control testing, complete and submit forms on products according to schedule.
  • Review forms for completeness and accuracy.
  • Keep precise and timely records of experimental procedures and testing processes in lab notebooks, forms, and file shares as appropriate.
  • Write, revise, and maintain procedures for the quality control product tests performed on products using the established Change Management system for document control.
  • Keep track of inventory for all reagents, materials, and equipment required for tests. Store properly upon receipt.
  • Assist in the maintenance and calibration of laboratory equipment.
  • Cooperate with plant personnel to complete special manufacturing and/or testing needs.
  • Follow all laboratory and plant safety rules and guidelines.
  • Follow established company rules and regulations and maintains quality and safety standards
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by supervisor.



  • High school diploma or GED required.


  • Evidence of skills required by Quality Control Lab (as noted above)
  • Strong English communication skills, written and verbal.  
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications.

Preferred Experience:

  • Prior experience in Biological Lab (ELISA, Cell Culture, environmental monitoring)
  • Manufacturing Experience
