Scope of Position:

As a Co-op, you will work as part of the Division Engineering Department reporting the Global Surfaces and Chemistry Engineering manager and working with group team members. You will work on solo and team projects which can range from new materials, chemical processes, validations, experimentation/problem analysis, equipment drawings, new equipment validation, new product development, and materials characterization. 


Travel Requirements:

  • Negligible


Hours of work/work schedule/flex-time:

  • Standard business hours; Monday – Friday.


Required Education:

  • Currently enrolled in a BS/MS degree program in Engineering, Materials, Biomedical, Biotechnology, or Chemistry
  • Must be Junior or further.
  • GPA > 3.0


Required Skills:

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong problem solving and decision-making skills.


Desired Experience / Qualifications / Skills:

  • Strong Experimental practices 
  • Cell culture knowledge or exposure. 
  • Fundamental data analysis, statistical analysis, and experimental planning. 
  • Exposure to manufacturing systems or new products.
  • Exposure to materials or surface characterization techniques. 


Soft Skills:

  • Results oriented with a high commitment level.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects/tasks.
  • Motivated and a self-starter with independent learning style.
  • Effective communication & presentation skills (verbal and written).
  • Ability to work on diverse project team.
  • Able to build new business relationships with the team.
  • Positive, open and engaging and can be an effective member of a dynamic team.
  • Dedicated and open to new ideas.
