The Specialty Materials segment manufactures products that provide more than 150 material formulations for glass, glass ceramics and fluoride crystals to meet demand for unique customer needs. Consequently, this segment operates in a wide variety of commercial and industrial markets that include display optics and components, semiconductor optics components, aerospace and defense, astronomy, ophthalmic products, telecommunications components and cover glass that is optimized for portable display devices.

 

 

To support our service department at our location in Krailling, Germany, we are currently looking for a

 

Field Service Engineer (m/f/d) – EMEA

 

In this role you can expect an interesting, challenging and varied range of tasks. You will be responsible for technical after-sales support and will be deployed to our customers worldwide.

 

Innovative and responsible - Your tasks are challenging:

  • Installation, commissioning, maintenance and repair of laser processing systems.
  • Analysis and troubleshooting of our laser processing systems in collaboration with the relevant specialist departments.
  • Customer service and customer training.
  • Carrying out regular maintenance.

 

Professional and personal - your qualifications are convincing:

  • Successfully completed training or further training as a mechatronics technician, electronics technician or technician. Preferably also an engineer or master craftsman.
  • Ideally initial experience in special machine construction and/or customer service.
  • High degree of service-oriented thinking, motivation and initiative.
  • Flexibility, ability to work under pressure and willingness to travel.
  • Initial PLC experience in accordance with the DIN EN 61131-3 standard and initial experience in the use of CNC / PLC-controlled machines would be desirable.
  • Independent, solution- and customer-oriented way of working.
  • Committed personality with a high understanding of quality and great care.
  • Good written and spoken German and English skills​.
