Our development department covers the disciplines of process development, optics development, system development and software development. In close cooperation with the local engineering team as well as colleagues in the USA and Asia, a highly qualified, interdisciplinary team (approx. 25 employees) develops innovative technologies for high-precision, highly dynamic laser process systems at the forefront of what is technically feasible. These include processes with ultrashort pulse lasers for the selective processing of high-tech components, sophisticated beam delivery systems, beam shaping optics, measurement technology (image processing), positioning systems and sensor technology.

 

To support our development department at the Krailling site, we are looking for a

 

Project Manager RD&E (m/w/d)

 

Innovative and responsible - your tasks are challenging:

  • Project management and monitoring of active development projects (including innovation and funding projects) in terms of objectives, time, resources and costs.
  • Manage the development roadmap for the entire department.
  • Setting up project plans and agile project management in the event of change.
  • Preparation of evaluations, documentation, reports, white papers and the monthly report.
  • Coordination of the creation and management of the IP portfolio.
  • Management of cross-departmental tasks and topics as a central contact person for development for all internal departments (design, commissioning, production, purchasing, controlling, sales and project management).
  • Bringing in innovative ideas and improvements – both in terms of content (technical) and in terms of efficient tools and processes.
  • Supporting the Head of Development and the Heads of Departments in administrative matters both professionally and personally.

 

Their qualifications and profile are convincing:

  • Successfully completed studies in mechanical engineering, automation technology, production technology, physical engineering, mechatronics, industrial engineering or physics.
  • Extensive knowledge in at least two of the following areas: optics, laser technology, laser material processing, industrial metrology or machine tool construction.
  • At least 3 years of project management experience in a comparable position.
  • Customer-oriented and analytical thinking paired with a high understanding of quality and diligence.
  • Integrating personality with a high level of motivation and initiative.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.
  • Very good knowledge of German and English.
  • Knowledge and experience with agile methods (Kanban, SCRUM) is an advantage.
  • Experience with ERP systems (MS Navision), project management tools (MS-Project, EasyRedmine, Confluence).
