Reporting to the R&D Manager, the Micro-Mechanical Engineer will be the Mechanics Expert. In this role, he will be in charge of conducting products developments, tooling & manufacturing processes.

 

This position is to be fulfilled in a fast growing and dynamic organization serving worldwide markets. The liquid lens products are unique and without any equivalent or precedent on the market.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Development of solutions for the manufacturing, testing and products industrialization
    • • Internal needs analysis
    •  Design and implementation of tools for the R&D and industrialization purposes. Development of associated processes.
    • Demonstrators realization and design aimed at promoting the Corning Varioptic technology during seminars and trade shows.
  • Product development
    • New products development (liquid lenses, S and C mounts, objective lens for microscopy) from design to industrialization with the support of optical skills (internal or external).
    • Coordination with the related supply chain from prototypes to mass production. •
    • Products qualification pilot.
  • Assembly method expertise
    • Development and support for assembling processes. 
    • Transfer on the production line.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Engineering degree preferably in mechanics or generalists
  • 2 year-experience in the area of micromechanical componets massproduction
  • Significant and relevant experience in supply chain within an international environment
  • Fluent in English is a must. Another language (Mandarin for example) would be appreciated. French proficiency is not required.
