Purpose of Job: You will be responsible for coordinating, leading the team to ensure the clean rooms are ready for production of consistent and high-quality liquid media products scheduling and assigning work of all Manufacturing Associates on shift to support production needs. Responsible for coordinating, scheduling, and assigning work of Manufacturing Associates to support production needs. Performs the activities to support media production and filling product by maintaining the clean rooms. Maintains accurate inventory for clean room cleaning supplies, Cintas area, through adherence to company guidelines and policies while performing quarterly cycle counts and reconciliation. Works cross functionally to resolve manufacturing issues, raw material, schedule, and production challenges. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including production, quality assurance, and research and development, to achieve our production goals while maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety. Duties & Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate records for documentation purposes, cleaning processes and batch records.
- Generate reports on production performance, quality metrics, and process deviations.
- Communicates in team meetings and GEMBA walks as needed
- Review of batch records for completeness prior to submission to QA Team Management
- Provide leadership and mentorship to the shift.
- Schedule work assignments and ensure adherence to production timelines.
- Ensure performance and adherence to all safety and SOP requirements.
- Provide input/feedback to performance evaluations of team, facilitate training and development opportunities.
- Gives continuous and accurate feedback to all shift personal.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost reduction.
- Implement best practices to enhance productivity and efficiency in the department.
- Promote a culture of safety within the Manufacturing department.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies.
- Participate in safety audits and investigations as needed.
- Provides day-to-day direction to Manufacturing Associates; delivers expectations and sets targets to be achieved on a daily basis. Creates a positive environment and actively engages employees for higher safety, quality, and productivity initiatives. Assures compliance of the Shift operations with current company SOP's and cGMP's.
- Maintains cleanliness and housekeeping for all clean room areas including animal and non-animal area, filter prop and filter testing.
- Recommends measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product.
- Analyzes and resolves work problems, by conducting root cause investigations and creating and executing corrective actions. Investigate and resolve any quality issues or deviations promptly.
- Ensure timely completion of formulations for production, as well as reviews and reconciliation of production records. Works with engineering to complete PM’s and support equipment needs in the area.
- Coordinates interdepartmental activities to ensure site goals are achieved. Schedule work assignments and ensure adherence to production timelines. Provide input/feedback to team performance evaluations and facilitate training and development opportunities. Implements and monitors training and certification plans for all area personnel.
- Trains shift personnel to ensure adequate level of process understanding exists throughout the department.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost reduction. Implement best practices to enhance productivity and efficiency in the manufacturing department.
- Maintains good housekeeping conditions in working areas and observes local and global Corning specific safety regulations and practices in daily work. • Perform other duties as assigned by Production Supervisor or Management. Qualifications
- Proven experience in liquid media filling and cleaning in a manufacturing environment. Understands cell culture media manufacturing. Knowledge of quality assurance and regulatory requirements in the liquid media industry. Familiar with aseptic filling, cleaning techniques, and process to clean cleanrooms.
- Strong leadership and team management skills. Communicates effectively with peers, supervisors, and managers to achieve short- and long-term goals.
- Maintains a professional demeanor in the face of changing work demands and under a variety of situations.
- Self-starter, works independently, results oriented, rigorous.
- Strong MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) skills. Good Interpersonal skills, with knowledge of Peoplesoft/SAP or other manufacturing ERP systems.
- Thorough understanding of site’s policies and procedures.
- Experience in aseptic environment in an FDA regulated facility.
Education & Experience Required:
- HS diploma or GED
- relevant work experience in cell culture media manufacturing and cleaning Preferred
- Experience in cell culture media manufacturing and cleaning of cell culture media clean rooms
- AS degree in chemistry, biochemistry, or a related field

The range for this position is $27.04 hourly rate - $32.50 hourly rate. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
