Scope of Position:
The process engineering intern will lead and support engineering project targeting various manufacturing improvement opportunities. The intern will conduct experiments, design test plans and explore new ways to address operational challenges. The intern will deliver tangible, impactful solutions into manufacturing systems. They will summarize and present their project work internally and to the Life Sciences organization.

Responsibilities:
- Development and execution of process or controls tools to enable better process execution, diagnostic, operation management, or other important plant challenges
- Document the results of the work by the end of the summer and give a final presentation of project outputs
- Learn new techniques and methods as needed to support the project objectives
- Assist in the design of experiments, communicate observations, perform related measurements, collect, and summarize data
- Work with scientists, engineers, and technicians to plan and carry out required experiments to advance progress against project objectives
- Develop and deliver data management tools or systems or improvements
- Meet all Environmental, Safety and Health requirements.
- Follows proper electrical safety procedures
Requirements:
- Rising Junior or Senior majoring in an engineering field focused on processing or mechanical system development (ChE, ME, or similar)
- At least one semester of core technical course work completed.
- Ability to build relationships and interact with a cross functional team
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to effectively present information
- At least one semester of core technical course work completed.
- Position is fully on-site

The range for this position is $1,635.00 - $3,185.00 biweekly. Starting pay for the successful applicant is prescribed based on geographic location, nature of position, and year in school.
