The purpose of this position is: Responsible for the repair and maintenance of manufacturing equipment, building, and grounds, working with engineering on more advanced projects. Has specialized skills/training in one or more technical disciplines such as electrical, mechanical, machinist, or HVAC. Subject Matter expert in designated discipline.

This position includes significant duties such as:

• Leads efforts and directs junior technicians on complex or larger repair activities

• Performs preventative maintenance and identifies new PM activities or modifications to existing PMs to drive improved equipment reliability

• Identifies new PM activities or modifications to existing PMs to drive improved equipment reliability

• Performs equipment repairs and recommends solutions to reduce downtime and drive continuous improvement

• Serves as a SME in one or more technical discipline (electrical, mechanical, HVAC, etc.)

• May provide training and coaching to junior associates

• Performs the setup and operation to support manufacturing process and equipment

• Troubleshoots and identifies equipment/mechanical problems and resolves or engages others to bring resolution

• May plan and execute installation of new equipment or tools

• Works closely with manufacturing to assess current operations, training others to ensure the equipment is maintained and operated properly

• Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments by using hand tools, levels, plumb bobs, and straightedges

• Works with external contractors to support facilities and operations projects

• Engages engineering to help resolve complex operations or equipment issues as needed

Working Conditions:

  • Somewhat disagreeable working conditions such as dusty/dirty areas, work at heights, in tight spaces; occasionally works outdoors in all weather conditions, in refrigerated areas, hot/humid conditions, cleanroom.
  • Occasionally works with chemicals, cleaners, and solvents.

Education: Two Year Technical Degree or equivalent; Licensure/Technical Certification, or Journeyman

Experience: 5+ years of relevant work experience
