Our Optical Communications segment has recently evolved from being a manufacturer of optical fiber and cable, hardware and equipment to being a comprehensive provider of industry-leading optical solutions across the broader communications industry.This segment is classified into two main product groupings – carrier network and enterprise network. The carrier network product group consists primarily of products and solutions for optical-based communications infrastructure for services such as video, data and voice communications. The enterprise network product group consists primarily of optical-based communication networks sold to businesses, governments and individuals for their own use.

Role Purpose

  • Collections and Logistics assistant for CALA is responsible for keeping track, collecting customer payments on time, coordinating logistics (delivery process) as well as all related administrative activities for those purposes.  Provide limited Commercial support to CALA Sales team.

Key Responsibilities

  • A/R document updated (CALA except Brazil). To be shared with customers
  • Follow up payment dates by account
  • Maintain and provide the logbook of deliveries to customers (weekly)
  • Schedule and coordinate transportation and shipping of items, ensuring compliance with safety, conservation, and regulatory requirements. (Appointments). Interface between COS, Transportation and the customer in high complexity accounts .
  • Confirm that invoices are received by the account payable department
  • Analyze and calculate Credit notes, either for late deliveries or special discounts.
  • Confirm with Corning NY, Budapest and RY that payments are credited to customers’ s A/R balance.
  • Inform the different departments inside COC and /or Corning NY about customer payments.
  • Request and follow up of performance bonds requested by Mexican customers. Interact with COS and NY about bonds cancellation process.
