Our Optical Communications segment has recently evolved from being a manufacturer of optical fiber and cable, hardware and equipment to being a comprehensive provider of industry-leading optical solutions across the broader communications industry.This segment is classified into two main product groupings – carrier network and enterprise network. The carrier network product group consists primarily of products and solutions for optical-based communications infrastructure for services such as video, data and voice communications. The enterprise network product group consists primarily of optical-based communication networks sold to businesses, governments and individuals for their own use.
Scope of the role:
Corning Wireless is looking to hire a senior leader in product line management, responsible for defining our enterprise (in-building) cellular platforms, encompassing both radio access networks (RAN) and distributed antenna systems (DAS) platforms. The role reports to the Senior Director of Product Line Management and CTO of the Wireless Business Unit.
Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree plus 12 years of experience or master’s degree plus 10 years of relevant experience (MBA preferred).
• Solid understanding of wireless radio access network (RAN) technologies including small-cells and DAS.
• Solid understanding of what is required to deploy products at enterprises and carriers.
• Deep understanding of industry business models of delivering in-building solutions, through neutral-host operators and channel partners.
• 5+ years of experience in product management, systems engineering, or network planning.
• Must be able to independently represent Corning externally to industry leaders, the press, and senior executives at our largest customers.
Key Responsibilities:
• Able to understand and unpack requirements of wireless operators and enterprises.
• Develop clear, detailed, and prioritized product requirements for small cell (RAN) and DAS product lines, working with a team of product line managers.
• Analyze competitive environment and develop strategy on how we compete.
• Direct cross-functional teams to manage revenue growth and product line profitability.
• Establish pricing to customers and negotiate price from strategic partners and suppliers.
Travel requirements: up to 30%
Location: Milpitas (CA) or Dallas (TX) preferred. Remote or hybrid work arrangements supported.

The range for this position is $190,202.00 - $261,528.00. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
