Purpose of the Position
Under leadership direction, responsible for incoming and outgoing material movement within the warehouse, maintaining raw material and finished goods inventory.
Key Responsibilities
Receiving & Material Handling
- Receives and weighs raw material (FBS) products.
- Unloads product coolers from delivery truck and places coolers in designated location for each harvest facility.
- Opens shipping containers carefully so that product contents are not damaged.
- Unloads the raw material and weighs contents from each harvest facility.
- Documents product receipts from each harvest location.
- Ensure packaging and labels are properly removed from incoming cooler shipments and that coolers are prepped for repacking.
Packing & Shipping
- Packs empty coolers with the necessary items to ship to back to harvest facility to be refilled with raw material.
- Retrieve and prepare product containers from dedicated freezer to be prepared for boxing.
- Boxes and palletizes product for final shipment.
- Ensure correct labeling is properly attached to shipments.
- Creates license plates for pallet shipments and affixes to each pallet.
- Palletizing orders for customers based on specifications.
- Prepares lot numbers on pallets based on direction from management.
- Review all shipping documentation for accuracy.
- Loads and unloads delivery trucks and reconciles all incoming deliveries.
Inventory & Support Activities
- Maintains product inventory and conducts a quarterly cycle count.
- May also be required to perform serum processing duties or assist as needed in other production activities.
Working Conditions
- Disagreeable working conditions.
- Works in warehouse environment with extreme hot/cold temperatures.
- Exposure to high noise levels.
- Walking and standing for long hours.
- Ability to stand for long hours and lift objects up to 60 lbs.
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience
- Basic computer skills desired.
- 3 to 6 months working in a warehouse environment.
- Experience with export shipments preferred.
The range for this position is $21.00 hourly rate - $24.25 hourly rate. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
