JOB SUMMARY & FUNCTIONS: 

 

Position Purpose


Under leadership direction, the Warehouse Associate is responsible for accurately and efficiently picking, packing, and shipping supplies and materials to both internal and external customers. This role also involves safely transporting, sorting, and stocking materials to ensure smooth warehouse operations. 

 

 

Key Responsibilities:

•    Safely transport incoming and outgoing materials to designated areas using appropriate tools or vehicles, such as hand dollies, forklifts, electric dollies, pallet jacks, or elevators.
•    Conduct quality inspections on incoming and outgoing materials and products to ensure they meet standards.
•    Sort and organize materials or items on racks, shelves, or bins following established inventory procedures.
•    Accurately pick, pack, and ship materials and products to meet customer demands.
•    Process packages for shipping, including affixing shipping labels, boxing products (using dry ice where required), and handling returned merchandise.
•    Perform regular physical inventory counts and replenish stock from back-up locations as needed.
•    Maintain a clean and safe work environment while actively participating in safety and quality improvement initiatives.
•    Complete administrative tasks, such as preparing shipping reports and correspondence, as required.
•    Palletizing Orders for customers based on specifications.
•    Review all shipping documentation for accuracy.
•    Loads and unloads delivery trucks and reconciles all incoming deliveries.
•    Maintains product inventory and conducts a quarterly cycle count.
•    May also be required to perform serum processing duties or assist as needed in other production activities.         

 


Working Conditions:

•    Frequently lift and/or move items weighing 25 to 60 pounds. Occasionally handle items over 60 pounds.
•    May work with noxious or hazardous chemicals, with appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) provided.
•    Occasionally requires the use of protective clothing or equipment, including gloves, freezer jackets or jumpsuits. Protective eyewear and specialized footwear are always required. All PPE will be provided.
•    Warehouse environment can have moderate hot and extreme cold temperatures.
•    Frequently lift and/or move items weighing 25 to 60 pounds. Occasionally handle items over 60 pounds.
•    May work with noxious or hazardous chemicals, with appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) provided.
•    Required standing/walking for long periods.
•    Exposure to moderate noise levels.

 

 

Education: 

•    High school diploma or equivalent

 

 

Experience:  

•    3 to 6 months relevant experience in warehouse environment required, including forklift operation experience.
•    Basic computer skills are required. Familiarity with Microsoft suite desired.
•    Experience with export shipments preferred.

 

 

The range for this position is ​$21.00 hourly rate - $24.25 hourly rate.  Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
