CLS Global Integrated Supply Chain is looking for a curious problem solver with strong analytical skills and planning/ERP systems acumen.  In this role, you will enable supply chain excellence by assessing, recommending, and driving process and system improvement opportunities in the areas of demand, supply, inventory, capacity, and network planning.  As a planning process and systems subject matter expert, you will drive continuous process improvement and support the strategic roadmap as we invest in technology to support a growing business.  You will also be an active contributor to problem solving within the existing technology landscape.  This position reports to the Global Supply Chain Business Process Owner. 

 

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a subject matter expert in planning processes and systems, assuming the role of supply chain planning insight provider through formal projects and ad hoc requests.
  • Development and maintenance of Global supply chain planning business processes library with related data and information flows.
  • Understanding of data integrations and critical incoming and outgoing touchpoints to the planning systems; provide functional specifications for new data integrations.
  • Partner with IT and/or affiliate support to develop functional designs for new implementations or enhancements.
  • Work with IT to maintain and monitor job processes.  Seek opportunities to shorten job processing time and improve the accuracy of the data.
  • Development of testing scenarios for systems implementations and enhancements to ensure continuity of critical planning processes.
  • Influence and build capabilities of Global supply chain team members to institutionalize new processes, tools, and best practices for Integrated Business Planning.
  • Champion change as new solutions are rolled out to business partners.
  • Facilitate the troubleshooting of issues with existing ERP and Planning tools.
  • Stay informed on planning system releases and lead enhancements to leverage new capabilities where of benefit to the global supply chain planning processes.
  • Participate in business process and strategic supply chain design efforts (as-is / to-be).
  • Assist in research and preparation of strategic recommendations with supporting data, process requirements and impact analysis.
  • Align with Global supply chain planning operations leaders on appropriate tracking tools and methodologies for measuring performance. 

 

Knowledge and Skills

  • Solid understanding of planning concepts and related configurations in demand forecasting, MRP, MPS and Inventory optimization
  • Planning and ERP system deployment and/or enhancements
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree (Supply Chain, Business or Technical)
  • 7 years’ experience in supply chain supply chain planning, operations, or systems
  • Participation in a large-scale planning or ERP system implementation or major enhancement project.

 

Preferred

  • SAP IBP, SAP S4/HANA
  • Proficiency in analytic languages and frameworks such as SQL, Python, R, or SAS
  • Advanced query capability in ERP (presently PeopleSoft, future state SAP S4/HANA
  • Experience with analytical techniques and methodologies such as segmentation, time series modeling, machine learning, data mining and optimization techniques
  • Familiarity with business intelligence tools such as Power BI or Tableau
