Our Optical Communications segment has recently evolved from being a manufacturer of optical fiber and cable, hardware and equipment to being a comprehensive provider of industry-leading optical solutions across the broader communications industry.This segment is classified into two main product groupings – carrier network and enterprise network. The carrier network product group consists primarily of products and solutions for optical-based communications infrastructure for services such as video, data and voice communications. The enterprise network product group consists primarily of optical-based communication networks sold to businesses, governments and individuals for their own use.
Role Purpose
Provide administrative support to the TCP Leadership Team and their organizations in the business in an efficient, proactive, and quality manner.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and lead plant activities and events including high profile customer and executive leadership visits.
- Represents the site/plant to internal stakeholders/customers and outside community in a pleasant and professional manner.
- Organize and manage agendas, including maintaining the calendar, scheduling all appointments and meetings for Plant Manager.
- Prepare/create PowerPoint presentations, graphs, and reports.
- Work with facilities and cleaning crew to keep plant clean and sanitized.
- Schedule meetings and travel arrangements, as needed, for customers, visitors, and other staff members.
- Emailing and posting on BAS plant wide communication.
- Maintain calendars of conference rooms and cubicle areas, adding/editing new hires in system or removing.
- Own seating charts for cubical and office areas at TCP1 and TCP2.
- Answering calls, filing, sorting and handling mail, pay for post office box.
- Maintain and order office supplies within budget restrictions. Includes replenishing snacks, drinks, plates, cups, etc., entire setup of food items and PPEs.
Experiences/Education - Required
- AAS degree in a business-related area or equivalent work experience.
3+ years of experience as an administrative assistant preferred. - Detail oriented and conscientious.
- Successful record of performance in previous work experience.
- Solid understanding of computer software and smart phone technology.
- Exercise high level of discretion, integrity, and confidentiality.
- Be proactive, take the lead, anticipate, and influence outcome.
- Maintain composure and quality work under tight deadlines.
- Be proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and overall strong computer skills.
- Professional and articulate in written and verbal communications skills.
- Establish and maintain effective relationships at all levels across a global organization, while building trust and respect.

The range for this position is $51,452.00 - $70,747.00 assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
