IT Controls Systems Technical Leader

Corning Optical Communications LLC seeks IT Controls Systems Technical Leader to work in Newton, NC. Serve as industrial/manufacturing controls resource to support process improvement, cost reduction, & capital expansion projects. Identify, recommend, & implement long-term intelligent system & controls solutions to address automation & manufacturing equipment performance issues. Ensure solutions support introduction of new products. Lead & participate in project teams to support daily manufacturing operations & industrialize new technologies. Provide reporting solutions using Osisoft PI & Microsoft Power BI. Up to 10% domestic travel. Requires: Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or related. 5 yrs exp. using PLC programming software (i.e. AB RSLogix, Controllogix, Siemens S7, G&L) in a manufacturing environment. 3 yrs. exp: designing, configuring, & implementing HMI programming; using data analytics tools (i.e. Power BI, SQL Server, OSI PI). 2 yrs exp. w/: programming in ladder logic; implementation & functions of PID controls & control loop tuning. 1 yr exp. updating electrical schematics & prints.
