Our Optical Communications segment has recently evolved from being a manufacturer of optical fiber and cable, hardware and equipment to being a comprehensive provider of industry-leading optical solutions across the broader communications industry.This segment is classified into two main product groupings – carrier network and enterprise network. The carrier network product group consists primarily of products and solutions for optical-based communications infrastructure for services such as video, data and voice communications. The enterprise network product group consists primarily of optical-based communication networks sold to businesses, governments and individuals for their own use.
Role Purpose
We are seeking a skilled and proactive Project Team Leader to manage the planning, execution, and delivery of projects while fostering collaboration and ensuring consistent communication with stakeholders. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership abilities, effective problem-solving skills, and a commitment to driving successful project outcomes.
Responsibilities:
- The Project Team Leader will oversee all aspects of project management, including planning, execution, and resource allocation, ensuring projects align with organizational goals and client expectations. The role involves maintaining clear and consistent communication with stakeholders—team members, clients, and senior management—to provide updates, address concerns, and drive progress.
- Problem-solving is a key aspect of this role, requiring the ability to identify challenges, implement solutions, and ensure that projects remain on track. The Project Team Leader will monitor project progress, track milestones, and ensure deliverables meet quality standards. Additionally, the leader will focus on motivating the team, fostering a positive work environment, and managing performance through coaching, feedback, and evaluations.
- Resource management will be essential for optimizing team efficiency and ensuring the availability of tools, personnel, and expertise needed to achieve project goals.
Required Educations/Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree
- Minimum 5 years experience in a production environment including supervisory experience
- Proven experience in project management and team leadership
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Familiarity with project management methodologies and tools
- Ability to allocate resources effectively and manage competing priorities
- Leadership skills to inspire and support team members

The range for this position is $79,166.00 - $108,854.00 assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position are dependent on hours worked and may include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, pension plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, and PTO.
