Our Optical Communications segment has recently evolved from being a manufacturer of optical fiber and cable, hardware and equipment to being a comprehensive provider of industry-leading optical solutions across the broader communications industry.This segment is classified into two main product groupings – carrier network and enterprise network. The carrier network product group consists primarily of products and solutions for optical-based communications infrastructure for services such as video, data and voice communications. The enterprise network product group consists primarily of optical-based communication networks sold to businesses, governments and individuals for their own use.
Role Purpose
In this role, you will lead complex operations-based projects to help improve performance, enhance operational capabilities, reduce cost, and enhance safety via matrixed teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with plant expansion programs to successfully ramp installed capacity at the Trivium plant.
- Develop and execute an operational roadmap for Trivium, driving cross-functional alignment and results.
- Lead matrixed teams using engineering and operations problem-solving tools.
- Provide operational leadership for new equipment and processes, ensuring knowledge transfer to manufacturing teams.
- Communicate project updates to plant staff and business leadership, reporting on operational readiness.
- Interface with division engineering teams to maintain schedule, scope, and timelines for expansion projects.
- Document work and develop policies, procedures, and operational tools to support plant operations.
Education and Experience- Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering
- Minimum 7 years of experience across multiple stages of projects and manufacturing, preferred; successfully transferring new or novel process/product technologies through development, engineering, and manufacturing phases
Desired Skills:
- PMP certification, or desire to attain one
- Experiences spanning stages of engineering to late-stage manufacturing
- Exposure to Six Sigma Black Belt concepts
- Some mechanical aptitude/equipment understanding

The range for this position is $97,116.00 - $133,535.00 assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
