Our Optical Communications segment has recently evolved from being a manufacturer of optical fiber and cable, hardware and equipment to being a comprehensive provider of industry-leading optical solutions across the broader communications industry.This segment is classified into two main product groupings – carrier network and enterprise network. The carrier network product group consists primarily of products and solutions for optical-based communications infrastructure for services such as video, data and voice communications. The enterprise network product group consists primarily of optical-based communication networks sold to businesses, governments and individuals for their own use.

Role Purpose

In this role, you will lead complex operations-based projects to help improve performance, enhance operational capabilities, reduce cost, and enhance safety via matrixed teams.

Key Responsibilities:

Collaborate with plant expansion programs to successfully ramp installed capacity at the Trivium plant.
Develop and execute an operational roadmap for Trivium, driving cross-functional alignment and results.
Lead matrixed teams using engineering and operations problem-solving tools.
Provide operational leadership for new equipment and processes, ensuring knowledge transfer to manufacturing teams.
Communicate project updates to plant staff and business leadership, reporting on operational readiness.
Interface with division engineering teams to maintain schedule, scope, and timelines for expansion projects.
Document work and develop policies, procedures, and operational tools to support plant operations.

Education and Experience- Required:

Bachelor’s degree in engineering
Minimum 7 years of experience across multiple stages of projects and manufacturing, preferred; successfully transferring new or novel process/product technologies through development, engineering, and manufacturing phases

Desired Skills:

PMP certification, or desire to attain one
Experiences spanning stages of engineering to late-stage manufacturing
Exposure to Six Sigma Black Belt concepts
Some mechanical aptitude/equipment understanding

The range for this position is $97,116.00 - $133,535.00 assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
