Role Purpose

Corning Shared Services (CSS) supports Corning’s businesses, through best-in-class and evolving operations, with a focus on actionable insights through evolving processes, ensuring compliance, and executing vital transactions.  We work hard to actively support Corning’s evolving businesses, eliminate manual processing of standard transactions, and act as a thought leader in the digital transformation to ultimately be a top talent destination inside and outside of Corning. 

A Coordinator, Business Continuity (BC), will be responsible for supporting the successful operation of the Business Continuity office, with a particular focus on the facilitation of the NA bank verification process. 

 

Scope of Position:

 

  • Support Business Continuity Office (BCO) Senior Manager in responding to any risk incident/event that impacts CSS/Finance

Facilitate the CSS bank verification process for all NA requests

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the quick and appropriate response to any risk incidents/events, including:
    • Assisting with actions driven by the Incident Response Playbook and as assigned by manager
    • Assisting with CSS actions tied to respective CSS operations or tactical teams:
      • Spend Analysis
      • Banking Change Requests
      • Vendor Holds
  • Assist the on-going Business Continuity initiatives, including, but not limited to:
    • Supporting the up-front information gathering (“As Is”) sessions with the business, utilizing the BC toolkit  (Questionnaire, Workshops, etc.)
    • Supporting the creation of SOPs / BCPs
  • Facilitate the bank verification process for NA region
  • Escalate issues as appropriate to ensure timely and effective resolution and crisis response

Experiences/Education - Required

 

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Ability to work with multiple groups globally and in a cross-functional team setting

  • Strong communication skills (written, verbal) in both English and Spanish
