Our Optical Communications segment has recently evolved from being a manufacturer of optical fiber and cable, hardware and equipment to being a comprehensive provider of industry-leading optical solutions across the broader communications industry.This segment is classified into two main product groupings – carrier network and enterprise network. The carrier network product group consists primarily of products and solutions for optical-based communications infrastructure for services such as video, data and voice communications. The enterprise network product group consists primarily of optical-based communication networks sold to businesses, governments and individuals for their own use.

Role Purpose

The IT Network Project Analyst will assist and oversee the planning, execution, and completion of global network-related projects within the organization. This role involves coordinating with various departments to ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget and scope, and meet the required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in managing and leading global network projects from initiation to closure.
  • Develop and maintain project plans, including scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors to ensure project deliverables are met.
  • Constantly monitor project progress and adjust as necessary to ensure successful completion.
  • Communicate project status to stakeholders and senior management clearly and concisely.
  • Identify and mitigate project risks and issues.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and industry standards.
  • Support managing project financials and forecasting.
  • Manage ordering and billing processes.

Experiences/Education - Required

  • Excellent project management skills.
  • Ability to assist and/or manage multiple global projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools.
  • Understanding of network infrastructure is a plus.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong financial acumen.
  • Problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.

 

Travel Requirement 

  • Potential travel of up to 30%, which may include international destinations

Experiences/Education - Desired

  • ​​​​​+4 year degree in Information Technology
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in IT projects
  • Project management certification is a plus.
