Procurement Operations Sr. Specialist

What is your role?

As part of the Procurement Operations team, this role develops solutions to operational and technical challenges, supports project execution, and applies strong procurement and cross-functional expertise to improve efficiency and resolve complex issues. 

What will you do?

• Daily support and involvement with procurement buyers handling Procurement support and resolution team (PSRT) transactional tasks and problem solving while following the Global Buying Policy.  This position could work on
• Retrieve non-disclosure agreements, supplier insurance certificates from suppliers, and assist buyers with the following:  e-RFx, e-auction, PO issues, invoice issues, supplier communication etc. 
• Provide transactional work including acknowledgements, voucher approvals, change orders, and requisitions while working closely with Corning Shared Services.
• Assist buyers on special requests and facilitate expediting of emergency orders and
  assist internal customers with Requisition to Payment and Procurement processes and procedures and.
• Request and review supplier docs in Ariba (Agreement, NDA, COI), training for Ariba and supplier setups.
• Manage PO creation, updates, and invoice/payment issue resolution.

What do you need?

• Bachelor's degree, preferred in business, supply chain or related field. 
• 4+ years of experience in similar roles.
• Advanced English.
• Analytical Skills including data management and analysis.
• Proficient in Microsoft 365 software.
• Communication, proactive, customer service, decision making and multitasking skills.

What would make you stand out?

• Previous people management experience
• Knowledge SAP, Peoplesoft and Ariba.
• Experience working on a Shared Services environment.
