The global Information Technology (IT) Function is leading efforts to align IT and Business Strategy, leverage IT investments, and optimize end to end business processes and associated information integration technologies. Through these efforts, IT helps to improve the competitive position of Corning's businesses through IT enabled processes. IT also delivers Information Technology applications, infrastructure, and project services in a cost efficient manner to Corning worldwide.
SCOPE/PURPOSE OF POSITION:
- Support circuit design, provisioning, implementation, and inventory repository for all circuits supporting the Corning Enterprise global network.
- Work with Program and Project Leadership, IT Service Owners, Network Engineering, and Technical Leads to understand, assist with design, provision, and test telecommunication circuits.
- Manage telecommunications billing globally for Corning.
- Manage Corning’s TEM provider working with Vendor Management
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Timely and accurate provisioning of telecommunications orders, escalating to telecommunications carriers when necessary
- Work with Telecom Expense Management systems to provision orders, report on circuits, and maintain accurate circuit inventory
- Manage Corning’s telecommunications billing globally.
- Assist in the development of standardized status and reporting dashboards as required from the Service Line or Project Management team
- Coordinate implementation of related project activities and provide guidance and support to other team members
- Responsible for tracking project milestones, such as circuit implementation dates.
- Identify and document issues and risks
- Communicate status showing progress towards defined goals and tasks, as well as to highlight discovered opportunities and next steps on key processes
- Assist with implementation of new solutions or upgrades to existing solutions, including circuit provisioning and documentation
- Create process documentation/workflows, knowledge articles and self-service guidance for IT Services
- Expected to quickly develop an acumen and intuition for core technology related concepts
- Support other organizational reporting, metrics, inventory, as needed, including but not limited to capacity reports, Service Now ticketing/metrics, organizational presentations, etc.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s in Business Management, Information Technology, Financial Management, or a similar relevant field OR five (5) plus years of comparable working experience as a Network or Provisioning Analyst.
WORK EXPERIENCE:
- Five (5) plus years of experience in transport / telecom circuit design and implementation in a large enterprise or carrier environment.
- Five (5) plus years of experience working as a Business Analyst.
- Five (5) plus years of experience in a core Infrastructure related field.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
- Knowledge and experience with telecommunications provisioning and implementing network connectivity, including telecommunications provisioning processes, systems, and network architecture.
- Experience with Telecommunications Expense Management (TEM) systems, such as Calero.
- Ability to translate requirements into accurate telecommunications orders.
- Ability to assist with accurate network documentation.
- Excellent technical analysis, problem solving, and business relationship skills.
- Must have good grasp on contemporary and emerging technologies and strategies.
- Proficient with reporting and analysis, including Excel and Power BI.
- Ability to engage with international teams across multiple initiatives that span various lines of business, geographic borders, time zones, and cultures.
- Must be a self-starter, able to work in team environment and motivate others.
- Ability to think through problems and visualize solutions.
- Ability to work with all levels of staff within and outside of IT and outside the organization.
- Excellent communications, interpersonal, and influencing skills.
- Demonstrated track record of on time delivery of telecommunications orders; ability to drive projects to successful conclusion using influencing tools.
- Must be willing to be on call available for after-hours support, as defined by the team for any of the position responsibilities listed above.
Travel: 0%-10% between Corning NY and Charlotte NC

The range for this position is $100,675.00 - $138,429.00 assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position are dependent on hours worked and may include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, pension plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, and PTO.
