Corning’s Display Technologies segment manufactures glass substrates for active matrix liquid crystal displays (“LCDs”) that are used primarily in LCD televisions, notebook computers and flat panel desktop monitors.
Scope of Position
Supports or leads continuous improvement activities, understands practical application to solve complex problems and situations. Works effectively with all levels of the organization, recommends and implements changes in methods or procedures.
Supports drive to fundamental process understanding and lowest cost producer objectives. Supports the development and execution of plans to evaluate new technology or improvements in existing technology resulting in a superior product in terms of quality and/or cost.
Day to Day Responsibilities
- Processes work orders in the Inventory System.
- Utilizes inventory management system to maintain and track manufacturing material
- Interfaces with other Corning Plants and external customers, including export, with timely shipments.
- Properly account for and track inventory returned from Corning locations to ensure proper disposition of inventory and credits are applied.
- Process inventory from vendors and plant locations
- Collaborates with team members to perform monthly inventory counts and reconciliation.
- All of these duties include lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Ensure integrity of the Inventory System by maintaining data tables and system access authorization.
- Perform slow moving inventory review twice a year.
Soft Skills:
- AAS preferred
- Inventory supply chain experience
- Manufacturing experience, particularly storeroom, warehouse, shipping and receiving, and material coordination and logistics
- Project leadership experience
- Strong data literacy

Hours of work/work schedule:
- 6:00 am to 3:00 pm with weekly call in for shipments alternated with other Material Control Coordinators
This position does not support immigration sponsorship.
The range for this position is $50,017.00 - $68,774.00 assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position are dependent on hours worked and may include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, pension plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, and PTO.
