The Digital Business Process Manager is a key member of our Emerging Technologies digital team, working closely with the developers, data scientists, analysts, and domain experts to design and drive core business processes that facilitate the efficient deployment of custom software applications built with our digital application platforms and bring value to our business customers. Your work is critical to our global digital transformation efforts because it helps the organization mature through the development and execution of core business processes while balancing the need to have standardized processes with the need to avoid adding non-value add work. The successful candidate will be responsible to lead the team through the ideation, prioritization, creation, driving and documenting of core business processes as well as the operational oversight of all Emerging Technologies business processes. The Nerve Center is core to Emerging Technologies, responsible for the management of all portfolio processes and value capture for digital activities across the corporation, leading the corporate culture shift to a digital mindset while standing up an Agile Center of Excellence. We are also responsible for the analytics, tracking and reporting of key process metrics for Emerging Technologies. As a member of this team, the Digital Business Process Manager has the responsibility for the oversight and management of Emerging Technologies’ global processes and business continuity in partnership with Asia Pacific region, Data, Platforms and Value Acceleration departments. In addition, this role oversees the operation of general processes for global Emerging Technologies. Your ultimate responsibility is to increase our operational efficiency. Agile knowledge is crucial to this role, as well as experience working effectively across a matrix structure and in a global environment.

 

Responsibilities:

 

As a Digital Business Process Manager, your main responsibilities will be to:

• Interacts with senior leadership and subject matter experts to develop business process solutions that improve process performance by increasing productivity and/or managing process demand

• Identifies opportunities for new business processes, lead in the development, execution, and ongoing management of said processes

• Drives all activities related to process alignment, process improvement and process monitoring including analysis and reporting of opportunities

• Anticipates and tracks operational and tactical risks and leads solutions

• Manages cloud service contracts providing recommendations to engineering teams to optimize cloud services balancing price, licensing design and performance

• Manages day-to-day Emerging Technologies business operations

• Identifies trends and assesses opportunities to improve processes and their execution

• Works closely with the Nerve Center and Emerging Technologies management team to ensure all operational processes are being properly executed in accordance with company guidelines

• Enhances the scalability and performance of new and existing processes

 

Education, Experience, and Licensing:

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations, Computer Science, Information Systems, Industrial Engineering or related field

• Minimum 10+ years of IT operations management experience

•Minimum 3+ years of experience in Agile practices and working in or with Agile teams

• Experience with cloud services cost management

• Experience providing detailed reporting and analysis

• Experience in dashboard building (such as with Power BI)

• Experience with managing business process automation

• Extremely strong verbal and written communication skills

 

Technical Qualifications:

 

A minimum of 5 years hands-on staging and production experience in each of the following areas:

• Expert level proficiency with Agile software development tools including Git (preferably Gitlab), Jira, CI/CD and technical documentation tools

• Expert level proficiency with Agile work practices in settings involving multiple development teams, cross-functional and matrixed team members and both local and remote participants with diverse backgrounds and experience

 

Other Qualifications:

• Demonstrated championing of efficient business process development and improvement

• Demonstrated team player

• Demonstrated curiosity and an ability to learn new skills on an ongoing, sustained basis

• Demonstrated systems perspective when analyzing opportunities, thinking about overall operation, failure modes and how to address these problems proactively

• A strong sense for the importance of documentation and the importance of not having to learn things twice

• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
