The global Information Technology (IT) Function is leading efforts to align IT and Business Strategy, leverage IT investments, and optimize end to end business processes and associated information integration technologies. Through these efforts, IT helps to improve the competitive position of Corning's businesses through IT enabled processes. IT also delivers Information Technology applications, infrastructure, and project services in a cost efficient manner to Corning worldwide.
Role Purpose
We are seeing a Director, Product Management office to lead the Product Management Office and serve as the Product Management Center of Excellence (PM COE) Owner within Digital & Information Technology (D&IT). This critical leadership role will spearhead the development and implementation of a robust product management framework, driving best practices and consistent processes across our organization.
As the PM CoE Owner, you will set and uphold the organization's product management standards, methodologies, and capability-building programs. The role will own and actively manage the product portfolio for all Employee Experience products, with a strong focus on our modernized intranet (Cobalt) and proprietary employee chatbot (Little Joe). Working closely with cross-functional stakeholders, the position will ensure our solutions deliver maximum value, user satisfaction, and measurable business outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Establish Product Management Framework: Develop and roll out a standardized product management methodology, including processes, tools, and governance for D&IT. Create tools and resources to support product managers and foster a culture of product excellence.
Drive alignment between product, engineering, design, and business teams; champion agile, iterative approaches.
Product Management Center of Excellence (PM COE) Ownership: Serve as the organizational owner of the PM COE, setting the vision, strategy, and roadmap for product management excellence. Define, document, and continuously improve product management standards, playbooks, templates, and training curriculums. Lead capability-building programs, certifications, and communities of practice to elevate product management skills across the organization. Foster a culture of innovation, shared learning, and continuous improvement among all product teams.
Portfolio Leadership: Own the strategy, vision, and portfolio management for Employee Experience products, including Cobalt intranet and Little Joe chatbot. Oversee product lifecycle from ideation through sunset, including roadmaps, prioritization, and resourcing.
Define product KPIs, measure success, and optimize investments across the portfolio. Cross-functional Collaboration
Collaborate with business stakeholders, HR, communications, and IT leads to ensure products meet evolving employee needs.
Listen to employees and partner to capture feedback, pain points, and new feature ideas. Communicate product performance, plans, and impact at executive and operational levels.
Team Building & Management: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of product managers; inspire and grow internal product management capabilities. Foster a results-oriented and innovative team culture.
Continuous Improvement & Thought Leadership: Stay current with industry best practices, trends, and technologies in employee experience, product management, and digital workplace solutions. Advocate for user-centric design, experimentation, and data-driven decision making.
Experiences/Education - Required
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in business, technology, design, or related field.
- 7+ years’ experience in product management, including leadership of digital product portfolios.
- Demonstrated experience establishing or transforming product management offices or centers of excellence.
- Expertise in employee experience solutions, intranets, chatbots, and enterprise software platforms preferred.
- Proven ability to drive adoption of best practices, lead organizational change, and build product management capabilities.
- Exceptional communication, stakeholder engagement, and people leadership skills.

The range for this position is $194,764.00 - $267,801.00 assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
