Corning’s Display Technologies segment manufactures glass substrates for active matrix liquid crystal displays (“LCDs”) that are used primarily in LCD televisions, notebook computers and flat panel desktop monitors.
Position Purpose
Multi-disciplined specialist supporting CDT’s Melting Forming Equipment Management team. Understand quoting and ordering process related to procurement of melting and forming equipment. Work with MFEM team, GSM, CDT Design, PLG and PPG groups, and related suppliers to ensure CDT equipment is ordered and managed accurately, timely, and cost-effectively.
Requirements
- Preferred Education: AAS/AS degree in business or technical field. Minimum Education: HS diploma and >5 years of experience in procurement, logistics or related internal/external customer-facing role
- >1 year of experience in procurement, logistics, or related internal/external customer-facing role
- Ability to work effectively in a matrix team environment in support of multiple initiatives that span various Corning internal groups, suppliers, and cultures
- Strong Excel skills for data entry and analysis
- Organized, comfortable multitasking, strong attention to detail with a bias for action, with the ability to manage changing priorities
- Excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal and informal negotiating skills
Desired
- Experience with Peoplesoft, SAP and CMR EPR systems
- Interactions with GSM, PPG and PLG teams
- Experience with CDT Design team
- General technical aptitude
Responsibilities
- Receive equipment bill of material lists and determine order process
- Send RFQ documentation, when applicable, to appropriate suppliers
- Work with GSM group to select equipment suppliers
- Utilize CMR or Requisition Loader interfaces for order placement
- Establish and maintain relationships with key suppliers to ensure strong communication and obtain shipment schedules that meet CGT rebuild & expansion timelines
- Understand supply chain relationships for various melt/form equipment and coordinate workflow
- Communicate supplier shipment dates to the PLG group to ensure shipment logistics efficiency

The range for this position is $71,139.00 - $97,817.00 assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position are dependent on hours worked and may include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, pension plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, and PTO.
