The Senior Financial Analyst for IT Infrastructure provides Financial Reporting and Analysis for Corning’s IT Infrastructure Leadership Team. The role will report to Controller, IT Infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform IT Infrastructure monthly closing activities
  • Prepares month end reporting and analysis of financial performance
  • Partner with Service Line Leaders to deliver on financial commitments (Budget, Target, ROI for key investments)
  • Assist IT Infrastructure Service Lines with monthly forecasting and budgeting
  • Prepares SOX compliance activities
  • Monitors spending and works with department managers to review/understand, and control costs.  
  • Drive continuous improvement in financial processes primarily focused on reporting and analysis.
  • Provide financial analysis related to capital projects, strategic investments, cost reduction, and other initiatives as required

Required Skills:

  • Ability to analyze and interpret financial results (operating expenses, capital expenditures)
  • Knowledge of Strong PC based skills; proficiency in Excel
  • Good problem-solving capability
  • Displays the ability communicate with multiple stakeholders (across multiple geographies, Corning Divisions, etc.)

Desired Skills:

  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Experience in Apptio, Khalix, Peoplesoft, Changepoint, Power BI

Soft Skills:

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work proactively and independently in a fast-changing environment
  • Strong interpersonal & communication skills to build relationships with project and department managers, as well as within finance team
  • Comfortable challenging existing processes

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor of Science in Finance, Accounting or Economics
  • 8+ year total experience
