The global Information Technology (IT) Function is leading efforts to align IT and Business Strategy, leverage IT investments, and optimize end to end business processes and associated information integration technologies.  Through these efforts, IT helps to improve the competitive position of Corning's businesses through IT enabled processes.  IT also delivers Information Technology applications, infrastructure, and project services in a cost efficient manner to Corning worldwide.

 

Scope of Position:

In this role, you will support the responsibilities of the Digital & IT Employee Experience organization through a series of shared opportunities. You will participate on cross-functional efforts to drive improvement in areas of end user experience. You will support Digital & IT programs/projects to understand impact to end users. And you will assist with training, communications and change management.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct analysis of reporting, ticket trends and metrics for the Little Joe Chatbot; identify and recommend ways to add/improve the end user experience.
  • Assist IT employee engagement and research teams on special projects or assignments.
  • Learn how to drive sustained adoption using Corning’s D&IT change management framework, tools, and leading practices to enable the full business value of the project goals.
  • Support change initiatives related to business processes and technologies using Corning’s D&IT change management framework.
  • Drive adoption of Corning standard applications with working with groups to understand current process and help guide to the adoption of new tools and processes.
  • Help create an engaging environment in different Community of Practice groups by understanding roadblocks and successes; creating opportunities to discuss and share.

 

Education and Experience:

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program in IT or Business 
  • Relevant experience a plus

 

Requirements:

  • Analytical and data-driven, with ability to review data and make recommendations.
  • Effective and clear communicator
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and requests with varying deadlines.
  • Ability to support IT Core Values by focusing on improvement, learning from mistakes, being accountable for actions and showing determination, focus and tenacity.
  • Strong public speaking skills and presentation skills
  • Independent worker
  • Must be available for 10 weeks during Summer 2025 (May-August 2025) with a graduation date of December 2025 or later
  • Be interested in working for Corning, Inc after graduation, if presented with a full-time job opportunity.

​The range for this position is $1,635.00 - $3,185.00 biweekly.  Starting pay for the successful applicant is prescribed based on geographic location, nature of position, and year in school.
