The global Information Technology (IT) Function is leading efforts to align IT and Business Strategy, leverage IT investments, and optimize end to end business processes and associated information integration technologies.  Through these efforts, IT helps to improve the competitive position of Corning's businesses through IT enabled processes.  IT also delivers Information Technology applications, infrastructure, and project services in a cost efficient manner to Corning worldwide.

 

Scope of Position: The purpose of the internship is to provide hands-on experience in HRIT solutions architecture, focusing on SAP SuccessFactors, BTP, Build apps, and Workzone. The intern will gain practical knowledge in developing and maintaining cloud-based applications and will contribute to real-world projects, enhancing both technical and professional skills. The intern will not only learn about these tools theoretically but will also have the opportunity to actively participate in the development and maintenance of cloud-based applications. This practical approach will allow them to gain a deep understanding and a strong foundational knowledge in this rapidly evolving field.

 

Responsibilities:

  • SuccessFactors, BTP, Build apps, and Workzone.
  • Collaborate with the solutions architecture team to understand project requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
  • Participate in code reviews, testing, and debugging to ensure high-quality deliverables.
  • Develop and maintain documentation for new and existing applications.
  • Support the team in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues.

 

Education and Experience:

  • Enrolled in Bachelor’s degree program in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
  • Relevant experience a plus

 

Required Skills

  • Proficiency in JavaScript
  • Experience with Node.js
  • Familiarity with cloud infrastructure and services
  • Basic understanding of SAP SuccessFactors and BTP is a plus.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Must be available for 10 weeks during Summer 2025 (May-August 2025) with a graduation date of December 2025 or later
  • Be interested in working for Corning, Inc after graduation, if presented with a full-time job opportunity.
  • Be willing to work at the posted job location

​The range for this position is $1,635.00 - $3,185.00 biweekly.  Starting pay for the successful applicant is prescribed based on geographic location, nature of position, and year in school.
