Scope of Position:

The IT Senior Training Analyst assists in executing a learning strategy aligned with Information Technology goals. The learning strategy includes the content, experiences, and platforms needed to develop the right capabilities, career opportunities, and engagement among the IT workforce.



  • This position supports the function/division/department and works closely with the Director HR Technology Operations to support IT Learning & Development. The person who assumes this role supports the execution of key learning programs, reviews and updates any learning journeys. Consults with the business on how to build new learning journeys. This individual will support business goals without losing sight of the learner experience.
  • Serve as the Global Training Coordinator (GTC) for IT to support content management, creation, and reporting in the Learning Management System
  • Act as I Learn IT@Corning Site Administrator including site maintenance, strategy, and continuous development
  • Conduct needs, and impact analyses as required to inform learning journeys, content sourcing, content curation and support design
  • Follow established content management structure to ensure updated and relevant content is represented on the site
  • Identify learning to feature on the site to ensure the site is refreshed regularly with new and relevant content and events
  • Partner collaboratively with subject matter experts, program owners and content owners to ensure learning opportunities are represented appropriately on the site
  • Partner with site admin to make simple changes to the site (SAP Success Factors, WorkZone) in order to keep sites updated
  • Partner closely with Workforce Development & Learning and I Learn@Corning Community Managers to leverage their diverse expertise for Corning
  • Assist IT workforce with any other learning and development tasks as identified


Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university or equivalent work experience; advanced degree in Learning & Development related discipline preferred.
  • Experience with learning and training programs
  • Experience with curriculum creation
  • Experience conducting a skill analysis and content mapping
  • Experience working within function or division a plus

  • Ability to manage a project
  • Experience with different forms of learning methodologies, including digital, classroom, and blended
  • Strong professional communication skills with the ability to simplify and synthesize messaging to key audiences
  • Ability to interact and communicate effectively with a diverse employee group and across many levels of the organization
  • Exceptional written communication skills; able to synthesize the most critical insights from large amounts of information and develop logical storylines in PowerPoint and listening for understanding demonstrating strong overall communication skills
  • Collaboration and influencing skills with global audiences
  • Ability to manage meetings effectively, with agendas, action items, Webex, etc.
  • Self-motivated with a demonstrated work ethic and commitment to outstanding work
  • Excellent organizational skills, detail-oriented
  • Work well under pressure with ability to adapt to changing requirements and deadlines


Desired Skills:

  • Experience with SAP learning platforms
