The global Information Technology (IT) Function is leading efforts to align IT and Business Strategy, leverage IT investments, and optimize end to end business processes and associated information integration technologies. Through these efforts, IT helps to improve the competitive position of Corning's businesses through IT enabled processes. IT also delivers Information Technology applications, infrastructure, and project services in a cost efficient manner to Corning worldwide.
Scope of Position:
The intern will help support programs and projects currently underway in IT. The intern should be able to use common Agile tools and be familiar with project management and Agile processes. The intern also needs to be familiar with Microsoft O365 tools and automation apps (power automate).
Responsibilities:
- IT projects to be determined and may include supporting special initiatives for Digital in IT.
- Will require presentations to internal Corning, Inc. customers and leadership.
- It may require the ability to multi-task across projects supporting multiple project managers.
Education and Experience:
- Enrolled in Computer Science or Project management and/or IT track coursework
- Relevant experience a plus
Requirements:
- Strong communications skills
- Organizational skills
- Working with media for presentations
- Microsoft O365 tools
- Independent worker
- Critical thinking skills
- Agile experience is a plus but not required
- Must be available for 10 weeks during Summer 2025 (May-August 2025) with a graduation date of December 2025 or later
- Be interested in working for Corning, Inc after graduation, if presented with a full-time job opportunity.

The range for this position is $1,635.00 - $3,185.00 biweekly. Starting pay for the successful applicant is prescribed based on geographic location, nature of position, and year in school.
